MICHNO SYSTEM point profiles for concrete substrates
MICHNO SYSTEM point profiles for concrete substrates are a practical solution for levelling a floor structure and preparing a stable base for OSB boards. The system compensates for irregularities in the existing concrete floor and creates an even, load-bearing structure for subsequent finishing layers.
This solution is particularly useful when renovating flats, houses, commercial premises and older buildings where the concrete floor needs to be levelled without carrying out heavy and time-consuming wet works.
What are point profiles used for?
MICHNO SYSTEM point profiles allow a new floor plane to be aligned precisely, regardless of irregularities in the old substrate. Once the level has been set with a cross-line laser, the profiles are fixed to the concrete floor using POWER KING® expansion sleeves and then adjusted to a uniform height. This creates a stable, even and properly prepared supporting structure for OSB boards.
Key product benefits
- allow precise floor levelling on a concrete substrate,
- compensate for irregularities in the existing floor,
- provide stable point support for OSB boards,
- allow an even base for subsequent floor layers to be prepared quickly,
- are suitable for renovating and upgrading old concrete floors,
- are installed using POWER KING® expansion sleeves.

Installation conditions for concrete substrates
The concrete substrate must be clean, stable and load-bearing. Before installation, remove all cracked, brittle or weakened floor layers. Installing the profiles on an unstable substrate may compromise the stability of the entire floor structure.
Drill the holes for the POWER KING® sleeves with a Ø10 mm drill bit and then remove all dust thoroughly. After inserting a sleeve, tap it with a hammer until it is fully seated. The clawed flange must bite firmly into the substrate to ensure secure anchoring and prevent the adjustment components from rotating.
Recommended floor sheathing
Once the structure has been levelled, the OSB boards can be installed. The prepared base may be covered with one layer of 22 mm OSB boards or two staggered layers of 18 mm OSB boards. This arrangement increases floor rigidity and improves load distribution.
Lay the boards evenly, with proper support beneath their edges and corners, and maintain a 3 mm expansion gap between the boards. A floor constructed in this way provides a stable and even base for subsequent finishing layers.
